Born in L.A. County and raised in Portland, Oregon, Robert R Ryel escaped a delinquent Punk Rock youth doing Theatre, Stand up Comedy and Improv. Returning to L.A. in 1993, he performed with The National Lampoon Players, started working the local Stand up circuit and studied theatre with The Grace Players and at The Beverly Hills Playhouse. He has appeared on stage in The Cherry Orchard, Paradise Lost, and Once Upon a Mattress, performed at The World Famous Comedy Store, The Ice House and The Improv, and has been seen on The Discovery Channel, Spike TV and in numerous independent features and short films, including the award winning The Big Meet, Cowboy Deluxe, and Somebody’s Watching.
